Naveen Adhikari

Mr. Adhikari is an Assistant Professor at the Central Department of Economics, Tribhuvan University with more than a decade experience of in teaching and research. He received his Master of Arts in Economics degree from the same department in 2003, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. from Tribhuvan University. He is also an executive member of the Nepal Economic Association.

Mr. Adhikari’s research works and interests lie in the domain of environmental and health economics. He has also completed a number of impact evaluation studies where a quasi-experimental design has been primarily adopted. In addition, he has a good understanding of microdata and microeconometrics. He has been continuously involved in the research with large-scale household data. Over the years, he has accumulated good experience in field planning, execution, sampling design, and instrument design commensurate with local context. Mr. Adhikari already served a number of institutions- as a member or as a team leader including the Government of Nepal, the Asian Development Bank, and International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and GiZ among others.

Mr. Adhikari has received several research grants including from the University Grants Commission, and the South Asian Network of Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE), and has been awarded by scholarship by the University and Central Bank of Nepal.
